My birthday isn't until tomorrow, but I had a celebration with my family yesterday. I just wanted to post about the books I got. My parents gave me The Queen's Fool and The Virgin's Lover by Philippa Gregory. I've been wanting these books since I finished The Boleyn Inheritance. I'm so excited to read them! My brother gave me City of Glass by Cassandra Clare. I'm so happy!
I can't wait to read my new books, but I still have a bunch from Christmas still!

City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare
Do not read this if you haven't read City of Bones
Clary and the Shadowhunters are back in this sequel to City of Bones
I really like the plot of this series and I find the books very engaging, but the incestuous feelings between Clary and Jace are kind of creepy. I have a feeling they will find out that they aren't really brother and sister, but for now, it's really weird! It really is hard to get past that part of City of Ashes
3.5 out of 5 stars (for the creepy incest)

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
City of Bones
I got this book from the library because I had read Cassandra Clare's Harry Potter fan fiction years ago. I couldn't believe it was the same girl. I was very excited to read this book! It has a good story and kept me interested, but there was something about it that I'm not sure I liked. I can't put my finger on it. The book definitely reminded me of her fan fiction The Draco Trilogy. Jace definitely made me think of her interpretation of Draco in her trilogy. I wasn't impressed with the ending of this book, although I won't say why because I don't want to write too many spoilers. I will definitely read the next book in the series when it comes out.
3.5 out of 5 stars
